If you know someone that really loves chocolate this is the best cake to make for them! This cake I made for my boyfriend who loves chocolate extremely much! I asked him for what cake he would like and he didn’t know so I searched for the most chocolaty cake I could find and found a really good one on allrecipes

  • Baking soda | 7g
  • Baking powder | 7g
  • Salt | 6g
  • Eggs | 2
  • Milk | 235ml
  • Vegetable oil | 120 ml
  • Vanilla extract | 10ml
  • Boiling water | 235ml

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C). Grease and flour two ~23cm cake pans or one cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients (except the boiling water) for 3 minutes with an electric mixer.
  4. Stir in the boiling water by hand. Pour evenly into the two prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to cool completely.

“Don’t forget to let the cake cool down before frosting it”

Extreme chocolate frosting

The cake will be very chocolaty and inside maybe a bit dry therefor put a little bit of the frosting inside the cake (cut the cake open and add the frosting). If we would have just the cake what would be extreme about it? That’s why there is also a nice chocolate frosting!

Ingredients

(for the frosting)

  • Butter | 170 g
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder | 130 g
  • Confectioners’ sugar | 640 g
  • Milk | 160 ml milk
  • Vanilla extract | 5 ml

Directions

  1. Cream butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in the cocoa and confectioners’ sugar alternately with the milk and vanilla.
  3. Beat to spreading consistency.
  4. Split the layers of cooled cake horizontally, cover the top of each layer with frosting, then stack them onto a serving plate. Frost the outside of the cake.

Tip: Don’t forget to let the cake cool down! otherwise, the frosting will melt!
